Red Dead Revolver is a third-person shooter, western, game, that was developed by Rockstar San Diego, and published by Rockstar Games. It was released on May 3, 2004 to the Xbox and PlayStation 2.
Revolver follows the story of Red Harlow as he avenges his family's murder by the order of his father's partner, Griffon.
It was initially being produced as an arcade-style game by Capcom but was bought by Rockstar Games when they dropped it.
Red Dead Revolver, at its time, was released to mixed - yet favorable - critical reaction; it was criticized for its controls, graphics and several bugs and glithces, but was highly praised for its music, plot, overall atmosphere and multiplayer.
Plot[]
The game is set in the wild west, in the late 1800s.
Teenager Red Harlow's father, Nate Harlow, returns from gold hunt in Bear Mt., and reunites with Red, and his (Nate's) wife, Falling Star. Nate shows Red his new weapon, the Scorpion Revolver, one of the only two who were only made, with the other belongs to Nate's partner, Griffon "Griff". Nate allows Red to use his old pistol, Red comes down and start to shoot at few targets. Soon after that, many bandits attack the Harlow ranch, led by Colonel Daren. Red finds his parents dead bodies and crying out for his father. Daren comes out and taunts Red. Angry Red then takes his father's burned revolver and shoots Daren's hand off.
Years later, Red is bounty hunter, who works in order to get information about his father's murderer. He meets a seller called Curly Shaw, and saves him from Bandits. Shaw says to Red that he can take the bandits' bodies and take them to the near sheriff, in order to get a payment.
Red enters to a small town, controled by a gang who took all the town's money, and left Sheriff O'Grady with no way to stop the gang members. O'Grady tells Red that he can't pay for the bounty, and soon after that, some gang members come to the place and kill Red's dog, making him angry. Red kills all the gang members, untill their leader comeout and take O'Grady as a human shield, but Red manage to save the Sheriff and kill the criminal.

Gameplay[]
Players can purchase goods from general stores, such as guns, multiplayer characters and extras. Guns come in a wide variety, including revolvers, rifles, shotguns and thrown weapons and are chosen before each mission in the game.
Multiplayer[]
It features a local multiplayer in which players can obtain cards from dead players to form pokers hands, different hands granting different abilities.
